Michael Sytsma
Professional Counselor, Sex Therapist, Pastor, Professor
Rev. Michael R. Sytsma, PhD, LPC, CST, CPCS earned a Ph.D. from the University of Georgia (COAMFT) where he specialized in marital sex therapy (Dissertation: Sexual Desire Discrepancy in Married Couples). He received his Masters in Community Counseling (CACREP) from Georgia State University and a diploma in Christian Counseling from Richmont Graduate University (then Psychological Studies Institute). His pastoral degree and addictions counseling training is from Indiana Wesleyan University. Early in his career, Dr. Sytsma served as pastoral staff helping to start churches in Michigan and then metro-Atlanta. While pursuing his masters degree he worked with individuals struggling with addictions and psychiatric disorders, eventually directing an integrated inpatient unit. Beginning to work with sex addicts in 1990 started his path toward addressing sexual issues in clients. After discovering a love for providing marital therapy he founded Building Intimate Marriages, Inc. in 1998 and co-founded Sexual Wholeness, Inc. in 2000. Dr. Sytsma is an Ordained Minister in The Wesleyan Church, a Licensed Professional Counselor in the State of Georgia, a Certified Sex Therapist, and a Certified Professional Counseling Supervisor. Today he works full-time for Building Intimate Marriages, Inc. providing counsel to couples and also serves as professor at several graduate schools and seminaries teaching integrated approaches to sexuality and sex therapy. He and Karen have been married since 1985 and have two grown sons.

Jeff & Shaunti Feldhahn

Shaunti Feldhahn, M.P.P. received her graduate degree from Harvard University and was an analyst on Wall Street before unexpectedly becoming a social researcher, best-selling author and popular speaker. In partnership with his wife, Shaunti, Jeff uses his legal and analytical background to investigate patterns that are crucial to life change, transformation and creating great relationships. He has built an important skill set at presenting these truths in a way that the “average Joe” can understand and incorporate.
